How do I remove stains from my ProQuartz surface?
A: For tough stains, moisten a clean cloth with a non-abrasive cleaner and rub it into the stain, wipe and clean with a moist cloth to remove the cleaner residue.
Is my ProQuartz surface heat-resistant?
A: ProQuartz is structurally more resistant to heat than other surfaces. However, like any other stone tops, excessive heat and thermal shock may cause damage. We recommend the use of a folded cloth, a wooden board or a trivet when placing a hot cooking pan or other cooking units on the surface.
Is my ProQuartz surface scratch-resistant?
A: ProQuartz is substantially harder than natural stone and highly resistant to scratching. However, avoid using sharp objects such as sharp knives or screwdrivers directly onto the surface.
What cleaning products should I avoid when cleaning my Quartz surfaces?
A: Do not use cleaners that contain Pine Oil. If not thoroughly rinsed, these products can leave behind a residue of pine oil. The pine oil then attracts and holds dirt on the surface, eventually reducing the cleanliness of the surface and its appearance. Highly aggressive cleaning agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have high alkaline/pH levels (pH 8.5 or higher) should also be avoided, as should abrasive scrubs/cleaners containing either soft or hard abrasive particles. Do not use cleaners that contain xylene, toluene, potassium hydroxide or caustic soda. Do not use paint removers or furniture strippers that contain trichlorethane or methylene chloride.
